Annie Gets Em in the Rain

We had our good friend and long time customer Annie out for a full day of offshore fishing. The weather was not the greatest with rain for just about the entire day. Our plan was to troll out into the gulf stream and see what we could find. The morning started out slow with only a few mahis and a big tripletail. Shortly after midday we found a current edge and began to work down it. No sooner had we gotten going and we hooked a triple of nice size mahis! As Annie and Laurel battled the fish I saw more mahi coming down the edge. This was the spot to be and even in the rain I knew we would get em! We picked at small groups of nice sized mahi all afternoon with some of the fish coming on the troll and some on live bait. On more than one occasion we had to stop fishing because of rainstorms. As soon as the rain would pass the girls would get right back to catching fish. It was once again another fun day of fishing with our friend Annie! (One of the lessons of our story is don't let the rain scare you away...the fish don't care, they are already wet! hahahaha)
